yesterday i bought a new dress. and i wanted to do a shoot with it. so i hiked up the hill. i started taking photos then these two lovely horses came up from the other side of the hill and hung out with peet and i. he named them penelope and santa cruz. here are some outtakes from the shoot.

well okay, i don't write much, and no one really reads this... so i figured, what the hell, why not write? it's a fucking blog after all.

well anyway. i've been thinking.. about thinking. and after being at erin's i have decided that i don't think enough. just about everything. i just flit from one thing to another, without ever really getting deep into something. but then again, i do get deep into some things, like trouble and love.

i feel like writing something artistic, like poetry. but it's too much effort for me. HA. i'm used to making nice things without much effort. i'm way too lazy.

Well I'm sure you've noticed that my hair has changed a lot in the past few months. So here is a blog to show you the trnasitions I have been through.

This is the closest it go to normal colour. A purple-red-brown colour.

Whoa nelly. My pink stage. Hot pink. I miss it.

The pink re-growth got so terrible I dyed it black to hide it. Subsequently turned to straw and started breaking off. Fortunately this photo doesn't show the dark side of my hair.

And now, finally chopped off all the dead grass that was my hair. Still black, but slowly growing out. Still getting used to the ultra shortness of it.

Hope you enjoyed my journey as much as I did.

Well I was shoppping with Dee yesterday at Macarthur Square, the closest big mall to our tiny town of Bowral. It's filled with barbies wearing the latest suprè trends, guys who have rat tails in their hair and the emo kids who hang around the Pretty & Twisted shop. I only go there for some occasional laughs, cheap jewellery and school shoes.

Anyway, I was wandering around and saw these two tops. They are fine examples of tasteful and non-tasteful political/current affairs t-shirts.

Now, I'm not completely sure if this is tasteful or not, but I don't like it anyway. It is almost like saying "look at me because I know MJ has died and I now think he's cool because everyone is talking about him."

But I like this, and who wouldn't? Everyone likes Obama! And I found the whole the blinds glasses trend that Kanye kindly introduced to the world quite amusing.

What do you think about these two shirts? I'd love to hear your opinion. I find this topic of discussion very interesting.

So I did an experiment just then with some self portaits. I wanted some clean lighting, and some nice bright eyes. And boy did I get it right for once. My mum's flourescent desk lamp is now my favourite thing! And much to my amusement, the bra I'm wearing is called "that's gold!" And it's by Davenport, if you were wondering.So here are some outtakes. The dots were for a dollface look. ANDREW COURT

This young man (left) is named Andrew Court. And he was my inspiration to start a blog. He is uber fashionable and is my favourite writer, and makes good jokes. He's also ultra thin and very good looking. Being a very photogenic subject with a bone structure that would make even Tara swoon. He makes me laugh and inspires me to no end. We share a pet hate for my ex-boss, now his boss, who for his sake I won't name, because I'm sure he knows who I am talking about. We also share a love of photography. He develops all my pictures, when I drop them in, much to my delight.

So that is my little tribute to him finished. Now go check out his blog, it's much better than mine.

Well these are from the morning after the fromage at Jack's. With my Ricoh SLX 500 film camera and 400 film I think... I love the bokeh that my 50mm makes. It's just gorgeous.

As you can see, people don't really like having their photo taken when they're hungover, so I had to be sneaky... And sneaky means sometimes out of focus.. Oh well. Adds to the lovely feel of the film!

So I went to a party, and I took my Ricoh SLX 500 film camera with my Underground 660-T flash, and here are the results. It was a very good night, lots of grog, Marlboros and loud music. But sadly my photography skills suffer when I'm drunk, so half of them are out of focus or aimed badly... But that's all part of getting drunk and partying! So enjoy my drunk adventures on film!

Finally term two has ended! Thank goodness, I think anymore late nights studying and I'd become a walking zombie. Anyway, of course I brought my camera to school for the last day, and I whipped out the fisheye once again for a magnificent return to the stage! Well here are the photos, enjoy!

Well I saw this on the Bleubird Vintage blog, and thought it was absolutely adorable!

Anyway, I am very sorry about the lack of updates and posts, I have been so busy with schoolwork. It's really overrated. And now I have a backlog of photos to show you guys on here. So I shall begin with my new haircut, which I had done on Saturday morning. My hair has been getting really long lately, and I was going to grow it, and get my fringe cut... But when I was sitting in the salon I just thought; oh what the fuck, I'll get it short again. Oh and I almost forgot, I dyed it a red-violet colour as well, and I like it. I got bored of my old hair, so here I am, revamped with some photos to show you!

This is Hinata, from the series Naruto. I got my haircut based on her hair. She's one of my favourite characters.

Well, since most of us do our work at home for photography, we all muck around for the lesson. So usually I bring my camera to just snap pictures outside for most of it. But yesterday was different! We were rooting around in the storeroom and we found a fujifilm instax camera! With three shots left! Unfortunately we thought there was no film in it, and opened the back and exposed one of them. But the other two came out great! We were so excited about it! So here they are, and other shots from the lesson. The didgital ones were with my Sigma 30mm f1.4, (which incidentally I adore using) my favourite lens.

Well well, on Friday I decided to test my new fisheye lens by bringing it to school, and boy did I have a load of fun! It was such a nice sunny warm day, so I took lots of photos! So here are the results from my photography class.

I'm super hyper today because... guess what... I GOT A FISHEYE LENS! SQUEEEEEEEEE! It finally came in th mail. I bought it for $150 (bargain). Anyway, since it's dark I only have a few little shots to show you, but here they are!

My models are Asher and Charlie. Who are both complete opposites! It should be good. Charlie's thin and uber fashionable, where as Asher is very built and buff (and really hot) and just wears what he fancies. So look out for those outtakes soon!

This time from the shoot I had last Monday with Mil and Cait. Two excellent girlies I know. Who also happen to be very pretty and thin and funny! Anyway we walked up a hill, and found out how unfit we are in the process! While the wind was blowing a glae and the temperatures were below double figures. Then it started to rain, but stopped, so luckily we were able to get some photos in just before nightfall! We were all sitting (or lying) in cold wet grass to take most of these, and I think were were part frostbitten when we got back. So without further ado, here are a collection of (un)fabulous outtakes!

Well today I did a shoot in the paddock above my house. My little brother helped me lots and was good company. It was really windy, cause the paddock is on the top of a hill. our eyes were contantly watering, it was so hard to look at the camera most of the time! We had to climb two barbed wire fences, and coming home I cut my knee really badly 'cause I fell, I also ripped one of my skirts, much to my dismay. I also bled all over my petticoat. Girl Armour - whoa!

Girl Armour!

Okay, so somewhere on deviantART I was looking at an interesting photo of bondage/fetish type stuff, and I found this site to be the supplier of the outfit, and wow! What amazing pieces of clothing. Actually, I wouldn't call it clothing, it's more like art. Go check them out at the two links I have already provided! I have picked out five interesting images from the site, here they are!

This intrigued me, the contrast between the dark gothic-like make up and contacts and the white fluffy, lacy bodices makes for an interesting combination!

One of the less bondage/fetish type photos. Very Audrey Hepburn, but still looking killer in the armour.

I like this photo, it's more a piece of photography to me, rather than modelling for a brand. The colours, the stark whiteness of her skin and the cigarette create an amazing atmosphere.

Now this one made me laugh so hard. Seeing that chair, and then the extreme lady next to it... If I were I guy, I don't think I'd let spikes like that near my sceptre. Look at all that vinyl! I would have been a nightmare to get on! And think of how hot and sweaty she'd get with the studio lights on her!

This one freaks me out. A lot. 'Nuff said.

Okay, so I got a new lens, and it's my baby. I am in love with it. It's a Sigma 30mm f1.4.. Do you love the sound of it? Does it sound fantastic? Ho yes it does! I have already taken lots of photos! So here they are... They are only test photos, so they're not any good or anything.

This is a butterfly magnet I own. Pretty isn't it. Oh just look at that magnificent DOF! *drools*

My cluttered windowsill. And yes, that's a big fat amethyst, I really like it. I got it from Hill End. And that's a teapot candle I got from someone ages ago, with some fake little flowers, and a big one.

And finally one of the girl herself! With her new lens, it looks fat, doesn't it, well it's really heavy.. Not too sure about that defined B&W, it kinda looks weird to me... I think it makes my hair look really oily, which it's not, it's really fluffy actually.

Oh and I've planned a shoot with two of my good pals, Caitlin & Mil. It's going to be the violet themed shoot that I polled people on. So excited for it. And I'm so excited to use my lens properly!

New found interest.

Well I have a new found interest in fashion, and the people wearing it. Not always high fashion, but not trashy stuff either. I was just looking around the interwebs when I found these interesting designs/outfits/looks. Just thought I might share.

This just has to be the one of the best dressed guys I have ever seen. I'm drooling over the white blazer with the purple scarf. And the shoes just complete it. Also notice that wonderful blue waistcoat peeking out from under the scarf!

I think this is a really cute outfit. The socks are sweet. It sort of reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Now, I can't remember what designer this came from, but I ADORE it. Not entirely sure why, but I do.

I think this dress is quite exquisite. I mean, I'd never wear it myself, but she looks great in it!

I also forget what designer created this. But I love that pattern and cut. The skirt is just magnificent, and that model is absolutely stunning (not to mention ho-so-thin). And checkout those platforms! Whoa!

Talk about colour! This woman has got it going on! But it doesn't seem over the top either! She's got excellent style.

Well, lately my obsession with film photographs has become an infatuation. It's all I shoot with now. Anyway, one of my new found interests is spontaneous portraits. Thyye just interest me, that and street photography. Portraits of unaware subjects, makes for beautiful moment.
I am just in love with my Ricoh, and it's fast lens. I adore the really short DOF, it's my favourite thing in the whole world.

Just as the title says, not much has been happening. I haven't really taken any photos lately, and so therefore there are no outtakes to post, but I shall show you a few of my underwater photos. I did a shoot with Amelia recently for my HSC photography major work. They are only preliminary photos at the moment, so they aren't much good but here are some for you to feast your eyes on.

Okay, so I just took another shot last night. Which is this one.

And for the record it was so hard to do. Firstly because of the amount of hairspray and gel I had to put in my hair for it to stay up like a mohawk. (I think I used something like half the bottle of hairspray and most of my gel..) And not only that, I had to wash my hair 3 times and condition it twice to get rid of all the dried gel/hairspray. And it was also difficult because I had to stand there, in the dark, with my camera on the tripod, holding my bedside lamp behind my head at arms length, with my remote shutter in the other hand, and manage to focus the camera correctly without getting my arm or light in the photo. Goddamn!

Okay, so here are two outtakes.

This was before I decided to go for the outline look. I was trying to get a different effect, but I realised I needed another light, so I gave up.

This was one of the many screw-ups with the hand held light thing..

Christmas... fever?

Ohhhkay. Well many things have happened since I last updated. (Not!)
So I shall start with my brand new purchases of iTunes with my $50 voucher that my mother gave me for christmas.

So far I have bought Katy Perry's One of the Boys album... And I ADORE IT. She's great, I love her lyrics and fun melodies. Annnd she's absolutely gorgeous. I'd turn gay for her, along with Uma Thurman and Audrey Tautou. I give her album 5 stars, baby!

And I got Paramore's Riot album, cause I like their front lady; Hayley. I like her voice, they have catchy little melodies too. But I found that after a while of listening to it, all the songs start to sound the same-ish. I think they need to try some other instruments. Or different effects anyway. Still good though, I give it 3 and a half stars.

So that's really all I have to say for today, as I haven't taken any more photographs recently. But I have decided I'm saving for a nice lens.

Welll, these are from a very long time ago now, I think in June! So about 6 months, but Amelia has finally mailed me some of the polas she took while she was here! Hooray! So here are some of them! Oh and I think it was T600 film iof you wanted to know.

Okay, well I just got 8 rolls of film developed 3 black and white ones and 5 colour... And I loooove some of the results, I adore film so much, the effect, the authenticness, the mood, the little scratches, which are just like life. I could rave for hours. But I won't, so here are some of the results.

Well this is Alex Preddy. My mother thinks he's so handsome. Always makes me smile when she says; "Oh look! There's Alex! Now he's a nice chap, what about him as a prospect?" Me: "I donnnn't think so mum, he's nice.. But yeah."

And this is Rick, the super tall stickman! He's 6'3" I think, or maybe taller, he's a giant!

Introducing Leah, one of my good friends. She's quite wacky, but I love it.

The beautiful Liv. She's very funny, and is a good friend of mine!

And this here, is a subject of mine. She's Georgie. Isn't she also beautiful? I think I know many very pretty people, and I count my lucky stars for it too!

Well, I have been looking through some old photos recently. And I have found a bunch of ones that always make me smile, which are classic moments. So I will share.

Now this is my two best friends and me, Christopher and Melanie. We're a little triangle, we've known each other forever, and we're more like siblings than anything else. And our familes are close.

Hahaha. This is Nikita. How can you not love her?

Introducing Isaaaaaaac. The always (mostly) happy guy. Who also has a great sense of humour, and a very lovely girlfriend named Lizzy!

This is Melanie and me, again. We were playing The Sims, and I think she might have just killed off one of our parents in the game..

Yes, I am aware that this isn't B&W. but I just love this photo. For two reasons; one, that it is a polaroid, and two, that it's just funny! It's me an my brother Peet. Who is, not surprisingly being an imbecile.

Hello, I just wanted to show some of my favourite snaps of late. Because I like this whole blog thing. =)

Well, a few weeks ago, this little fellow was just lying on the ground, and I saw him as I was getting in my car. I thought he was dead, so I picked him up carefully, and then he sort of woke up a bit.. I figured he must have stunned himself when he flew into the window. So I asked mum to hold him while I grabbed my camera. He's a Fairy Wren, a male. The females are all brown.

I was a tired kitty after some halloween themed photos.

God, I love Caitlin. I miss her now, my dearest homeroom buddy.

This is my other homeroom buddy, Kyle. He likes to make frog faces.

This one always cracks me up. She, (Katie) was sunburnt, and he (Taylor, her boyfriend) had just peeled off a massive bit of dead skin off her shoulder... And this is the result.

Okay, so I just got back from a really awesome-excellent-relaxing-happy-fun-amazing holiday.. We drove up to Aerlie beach.. And then got on a nice katamaran and sailed around the Whitsundays. (Here's a photo from a brochure)

Now, see that island there, times it by 72, and you have 72 beautiful islands to sail around, to sunbake on the beaches, to swim in the amazing tuquoise waters. And yes, it was amazing. I loved every minute of it. Including when we were loading the boat before we left, the tropical downpour, which drenched me and my white dress (what a bad choice) which as a result went completely see-though, hello bra and underwear. So like.. 200 people saw me running back and fourth carrying things through the rain in a comepletely see-through short white dress..

Anyway, I shall leave you with some photos I took. All are minimal editing, mainly crops. No contrast, no colour playing around, nothing. Just crops and resizing. I'm proud of my new minimal photoshop photography. =) I'm only putting ones up that I haven't posted on my dA, so if you want to see some better ones head to my deviantART for the better shots. Well, since we all forgot, we missed the beginning part of our lesson, at least 15 minutes. but we have Mr Nash, so it's cool. So we're doing some stuff on movements of churches and what not. pretty boring really, but it's religion, what's new?

Anyway, I had a bit of fun with the whole long hair thing, a few people asked me if I just straightened the shit out of it... but seriously, how can you make hair longer if you straighten it heaps? I mean does hair stretch? No, it breaks. Some people thought they were extensions, but I;m above those things, ratty dreadlocks... Eugh. But Lucy Jagoe's on the other hand look fabulous, they actually look like hair, and shinyness, soo good. And they aren't ratty or dreadlock-like either.

Anyway, I only have 10 minutes left, and I kinda have to do some more work.

Oh what a joy, to be here by myself. Being screwed around by boys. I'm not going to be stupid and say I give up, cause that's just lame. No, but I will say I'm kind of amused by them. I'm not going to go into specifics, or even general terms. Just this book I'm reading, He's Just Not That Into You, is quite fucking hilarious and intelligent. I recommend it if you've been fucked around by some guy, are getting confused by some guy, or just want to know how to spot bastards a mile off. Unfortunately though, the book is upstairs, and so I cannot be fucked to go get it to tell you the authors, but it's the guy who advises on Sex and the City, and girl on their writing board.

Anyway, I'm sitting here on a Friday night, talking to Vanessa, (oh she'll kill me for that) and pondering about whether I can actually be fucked to go an fetch my camera from two stories up, in my bedroom. I have decided that I will go get it after I've finished this post.

So I shall tell you about my current thing to be excited about...

I'M GETTING THE MOST FUCKING-AWESOME-KICKASS-BEAUTIFUL-WONDERFUL COMPUTER EVERRRRR. Cheap too! I'll start telling you about it. I don't know what I'm gonna call her (yes, it's definitely a her) yet, anyway, she has a 22" widescreen monitor (so I can look at beautiful photos properly), 4gb of RAM (yeah, that's right), 320gb of space on the harddrive (jealous yet?) , some very nice speakers, 8 USB ports, brand new keyboard and mouse and an awe-inspiring graphics card, (which unfortunately I can't remember the name of, so much for awe-inspiring). Sound cool? I think yes. It's coming in 3 weeeeeeeeeeks! I'm sooooooo excited. Oh and Janelle is getting me THE WHOLE OF THE ADOBE CS4 CREATIVE SUITE! Hellll yes. I love how she works for Adobe. I love her.

Oh and PS.
I'm saving for my pretty bubble car, it's only setting me back a grand. And I'm getting a fixed Pentax fisheye lens for xmas. It's F-stop is 1.8! YEAHHH! ONE POINT EIGHT. That's one short DOF.

Yeah. I'm at school. I'm in the library, with Nick Van and Elle on either side of me. Doing my drama synopsis, more, meant to be doing them anyway. I do enjoy the library and it's interesting to see that they haven't blocked this site.. But to my great annoyance they wouldn't allow me to search for my drama IP play- Top Girls. I mean I typed in "top girls by Caryl Churchill character summaries. And it came up with URL arguments, cause "top girls" sounds dodge.. I could search for it the other day. Grr.

But generally life at the moment is pretty darn busy. I'm so skint I can barely pay for a disposable camera for the shoot I'm doing on Monday. I think I may have to start charging for client shoots. =\ But then I won't get any business. =( Hmm. Tell me what I should do.

I hope the people around the world are dealing with the whole credit crunch bitch thing going on. I mean it's just the economy cooking up a global disaster. Dear me.

Anyway, I should get back to my IP.
